Share Your OREO Cookies Memory For A Chance To Win $200 #OreoMoment

When I was a kid, one of the biggest treats were OREO cookies. We didn’t get cookies often because we were a family on a budget, and cookies just didn’t make the grocery list, but I remember watching other kids in kindergarten eating these divine looking chocolate cookies with white filling, and trying them for the first time when they were shared with me. It was heaven.

Sometime after I went to the market with my mom and noticed THOSE cookies on a shelf, and begged my mom to buy them. We got home, and I was ready to demonstrate to my younger siblings how to eat OREO cookies the “right” way. My 5 year old self proudly showed them how I separated the layers, collected the creamy filling from multiple cookies to eat in one big, sugary, sweet creamy gulp. Then I took the chocolate cookies and dunked them all in a glass of milk, and let the softened chocolate cookies dissolve one by one in my mouth. I felt very important to be sharing all my OREO cookie knowledge with my siblings, who never had them before, and special that my mom allowed me this special treat.

  • I don’t really have many memories eating Oreos but I love watching my hubby eat them. He pulls them apart, eats the filling, and then dunks the chocolate cookies and dips them in milk.
