This post brought to you by No nonsense. All opinions are 100% mine.
I’ve been shopping for a pair of colored jeans or pants that are flattering and offer a pop of color to my wardrobe, because I found those pink and red and purple colored jeans everyone is wearing to be totally hot. Especially with a black top to contrast that POP of color.
totally. hot.
And I failed. I just couldn’t find a pair that looked good on me because of how curvy I am. So I gave up.
And then some colored leggings showed up in my mailbox from No nonsense, like some cosmic force that knew I was meant to have a pair of colorful pants (and that they of course had to fit my curvy, hard to shop for figure), and they are awesome.

No nonsense offers colored leggings that look like corduroy pants, and because they stretch (much more than most jeans or pants would), they fit me (and will fit anyone) without needing to be tailored. They look like corduroys, and they are less than $20 a pair (so lots of color can affordably be added to your wardrobe). My favorite, favorite way to wear colored pants are with black tops, and I complete the look with flat shoes (ballet slippers or pretty sandals).
These No nonsense corduroy leggings don’t bulge with buttons or zippers for a nice, flat-front look, and they sit low on the waist. All around perfect (and while I was shy when I first put them on because they were so fitted, my husband’s “Wow!” when he saw them was the final determining factor that these were winners).

No nonsense also has colorful stockings, but they sent me a black pair to try out (which happen to be my favorite color for stockings). Stockings put me in a preppy fashion mood, and I put together this pretty outfit as my ideal style, a lovely outfit built around a great pair of black stockings:

I wear a pop of color by wearing a bold and striking handbag!
Woah I think I want a pair of these, very pretty. I’d wear them with heels or boots though!
I have some Yellow leggings and I love wearing them with really long shirts and dresses. I love how colors are so in right now
Those look great on you! I just bought two pairs of cords today LOL! I should have looked for these instead!
Super cute! You look amazing for just having a baby.
You look great in them! I can NOT rock the colorful leggings! My pop of color is usually a t shirt
If they were jeans or leggings, I’d wear a pop of color with a long tunic. I usually wear very bright jewelry as a pop of color.
I love leggings, they are so slenderizing.
Cute, and you can so rock the colors!
They look wonderful on you! I’m pretty nervous about wearing colored pants but would be willing to give it a go. These days, my pop of color comes from accessories, such as a cute chunky necklace or bright handbag!
Very cute! I want some leggings but I’m a bit too curvy! lol (you are not!)
I adore, adore, adore that outfit you put together — you have such adorably classic good taste. LOVE it.
These are so cute. I love colorful bottoms as well. However, I tend to wear a colorful shirt or blouse and cover with a solid blazer.
Fall orange, I’d wear it for our family photos! I’m all about bright colors 🙂
I can’t do leggings with a top that covers most of them.
I would pair color leggings with a white peplum top.
This is just the topic I’m always thinking about, even in summer :-). I love black tights with super light, lace, tutu-like skirts. But I was also thinking today what color tight could I wear with a navy dress I own…I thought purple might be the answer or red (!), and I ended with thinking a sort of lagoon-green (I should really find a better adjective to describe that) would be a better choice. I need this unusual shade of greenish tights–I could show you a photo of the color if you like–just write back, & I’ll send a link to the color in a top :-). Anyway, I enjoyed your post & thinking about Leggs in a new light!
Sure, send!
It’s this “key lime” color from Garnet Hill–or maybe a little more muted than that. I’d upload photo instead of making you click on this link but can’t see how 🙂
Here’s the link to Garnet Hill’s top in key lime color: http://www.garnethill.com/pleated-detail-scoop-neck-tee/sale-clearance/-50-under/273388?defattrib=&defattribvalue=&listIndex=24
Fun to talk clothing with you, dear 🙂
That color would look great with navy! (and chat with me anytime, it’s fun for me too)
