My father used to play with my brother and me in the yard. Mother would come out and say, “You’re tearing up the grass.” “We’re not raising grass,” Dad would reply. “We’re raising boys.” ~Harmon Killebrew
Fathers matter. So does keeping the important things in perspective. The lawn will always be there, but children grow up and move away, and being a parent to lively young children is fleeting it. Enjoy every minute!

I love that! Such a great way to look at life. We often worry too much about the little things and parenting our children is our number one priority.
Perfect!
I 100% agree with this. Time goes by so fast. Enjoy the moment and create some memories
So true!
Love this and such a great outlook on things.
So true! I love pictures like that 🙂
Love this post Penelope!
I’m so blessed to have a husband who is an extraordinary father to our children.
Great quote.
True story. 🙂
Awesome post. That is what being a dad is all about: keeping things in perspective
