Fatherhood is pretending the present you love most is soap-on-a-rope. ~Bill Cosby
Father’s Day is June 20th this year, just over two weeks away. Do you have anything special planned for your wonderful, hard-working dad? Fathers tend to get overlooked and underappreciated on Father’s Day (and throughtout the year) and they tend to bear it good-naturedly. I recall once proudly giving my dad a set of novelty golf balls as a child, even though he never played golf. Other gifts over the years included page-a-day calendars, ties, and of course, lots of cologne (dad has bottles of it stored up, because he gets it for Christmas too).
I have a feeling we all have a history of giving our dad or new-daddy husband less than stellar gifts at some point, maybe even most of the time (and they never really complain). Well, this year, I compiled a list of great, Wow-that’s-just-what-I-wanted! ideas for Father’s Day, because a great dad, father-in-law, grandpa, a good husband and wonderful father to your kids, all these great men deserve it.
Here is a list of truly fabulous products dad will not only love, but maybe they will help dad forgive you for all those awful ties and novelty products he received over the years.
Great Gifts For Great Men:
The Flip SlideHD Camcorder: The Flip Slide is an example of how far tech gadgets have come- a high definition camcorder that is the size of a handheld digital camera and incredibly easy to carry around and use. Dad will never miss another important moment again, whether it be his child’s first steps, an amazing play at a sports game, or a rare nature moment while camping. If dad has young children, it’s more of a necessity, and the Flip Slide records up to four hours!

Omaha Steaks- Is dad a carnivore? Aren’t most men? How about treating dad to the delicious grilling pack from Omaha Steaks, for a terrific family bbq for Father’s Day, or get him a gift card and let him shop for his favorite cuts of beef himself. While you are at it, don’t forget…a novelty men’s apron at Flirty Aprons (such as “I Turn Grills On” or “Kiss the Cook”) because what grilling dad’s get-up is complete without it?
Human Touch HT-136 Massage Chair (read full review here)- Human Touch makes the #1 rated massage chairs in the US. This would be a terrific gift for a retired dad, or a dad who works hard and just needs to rest and let-down when he gets home. When I asked my dad what he’d most like for Father’s Day, he said “some peace and quiet at home” (do they ever ask for actual gifts?). A Human Touch massage chair is a great way to help dad relax.

WalletBe Croco Leather Men’s Wallets (read full review here) are the solution to bulky, unconfortable men’s wallets. Elegant, crocodile embossed Italian leather wallets in a slim design provide a smooth look whether worn in jeans or a suit, in the front or back pocket, and help dad sit comfortably, at a very affordable price.
