I'm not a mother but I plan to spend this Mother's day with my family. My brother's birthday falls on Mother's Day this year (my birthday happens to be on Father's Day, as well) so we have fun plans when this happens. Mother's day will be spend out on our boat after church and a bunch at the country club.

This is technically my first year as a (step)'mother', so I am really not sure what to expect! I suppose I'd like to spend the day with everybody at home, maybe doing something fun together. I would like to celebrate Mother's Day together as a family, which is difficult to do because we have two teenagers who have busy schedules.

Last year I made a video for my mom, telling her she was 'Mother of the Year', and sent it to her email address. She loved it! We also sent her a gift certificate for really wonderful, kind of expensive, local restaurant for her and my dad to enjoy. I couldn't be with her on that day, so this was the next best thing.

It will be a quite Mom's Day because I lost my Mom 8 months ago. My son and daughter will send flowers ,my son and his wife always get me chocolate covered strawberries and then we will all go out to dinner

Well it most likely will be like any other holiday or past mother's day, sitting at home no gifts, entering contest hoping to win.
My daughter is graduating from high school in June so she will be going to college locally because of money issues so money is tight.
I wish I could have all my family since they all live 1200 miles away join my daughter, my son and myself here and we could all spend the day at the beach and have a cook out
