Celebrating Do Gooders And Problem Solvers

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of UPS. All opinions are 100% mine.

I’ve always loved my UPS delivery people, because in addition to being fast and reliable, I always know seeing them walk up my walkway means something I’ve been waiting for is arriving. Coming home to find UPS packages neatly lined up by my front door is happy-making, and all around the world, UPS deliveries are anxiously anticipated (and no one sends bills via UPS!). Especially around the holidays, a brown wrapped package is so exciting!

the perfect gift

Every UPS package that’s delivered started with a wish, and UPSers work tirelessly to get those #WishesDelivered throughout the holiday season and beyond. UPS wants to highlight the people and organizations who are dedicated to making their communities, country and the world a better place by being problem solvers who also strive to get #WishesDelivered, and share their magical stories.

With each story you share, and each instagram or twitter share including #WishesDelivered, UPS will deliver even more wishes!

Share your story to do more good

Tell me your wish for the greater good, or tell me how someone in your community (maybe you!) selflessly makes wishes come true, and include #WishesDelivered, and for each of these wish stories shared, UPS will donate $1 to a charity partner. Their charity partners include some of my favorite charities, such as Boys & Girls Club of America, World Food Programme, Toys for Tots Literacy Program, The Salvation Army, and The UN Refugee Agency.

UPS will donate up to $150K to these worthy charity partners for every #WishesDelivered story or wish shared! Your own wish that is shared on Twitter or Instagram could become part of the #WishesDelivered site (you can also go directly to the #WishesDelivered site to submit your wish).

In my community, we have some wonderful people at a local church who work hard to make sure struggling families have holiday dinners. They receive requests from families who would otherwise have nothing for their family, and there is no limit. If 40 families ask for help, the volunteers help them all. If 150 families ask for help, they supply full dinners and pantry items and gifts for 150 families to enjoy for the holidays and after. They have yet to turn anyone down…instead, they step up their efforts and work longer. They are amazing! They truly deliver wishes and solve problems.

My mother-in-law is another problem solver, who is always ready to host a fund raiser or organize a toy drive or coat drive to help people. She is known for her generosity and willingness to lend help when anyone asks… she is a real inspiration. Personally, my wish would be that there are no hungry families this season at all, and no children who are without a warm coat on cold winter days!

Honor Problem Solvers with #WishesDelivered

If you know great people like this, give them a shoutout on Twitter or Instagram with #WishesDelivered… UPS wants to celebrate all these problem solvers! Go directly to the #WishesDelivered Site and submit a story about how you or someone/an organization you know that is making wishes come true. You are honoring selfless people across the country while helping raise money for charity so there will be more UPS #WishesDelivered… that is pretty great too! So… What’s your wish?
