What Is The Difference Between Living And Existing?

Facebook Twitter StumbleUpon Pin It

I’ve always been a little apart from the crowd, sort of walked to the beat of my own drum, and I was always happy this way. The truth is, I think many of us who do things our own way and have a more unique way of looking at the world are really happy with ourselves as we are, despite opposition or gossip. When you feel like you’re fighting an uphill battle because you want to live your own way, and it seems everyone disapproves, read these inspirational quotes about living and being true to yourself to remember why it’s no fun being just like everyone else …because if you aren’t living your own life, you aren’t living.

This is a hard one for me. Sometimes I find that I “exist” because i’m waiting for some event or thing in life to happen and I don’t live life while I am waiting. I want to be better with this.

I heard a great one today when they were talking about Etta James passing and it was something like “You don’t want to pass away with your music still inside you.” I thought that was really beautiful and spoke to so many things that we all hold in or are afraid to risk being judged (or loved) for. Thank you for sharing your inspiring quotes. And even though I don’t have a baby, I thoroughly enjoyed your Potty Training post. I know it will be challenging, but I know you’ll do great with this phase of Little Man’s life, but yes, don’t be afraid to enlist the hubby to show him how that all works. =)

Wonderful quote Penelope! I especially love the one ‘There is no greater tragedy than being afraid to live the rest of your story’. That rings so true with me. Thanks for sharing these :-)

These are such great quotes. Blending in my doing what society tells you to do will not make you any happier. You said it perfectly live, don’t just exist.
