Express Yourself With COLOR And #Revlon

Even though my days are filled with diapers, Diego, and my own little Dennis the Menace, sometimes I just want to have a little fun, and I can (with my makeup). I decided to break out of the usual and express myself with these new Revlon shades that are totally out of the norm for me…because sometimes a gal just wants a little more color.

Red lipstick is considered one of the most glamorous items of makeup a woman can possess. I never wear red lipstick because it’s just gets so. much. attention. and i tend to want to blend in, but then I wondered, what is wrong with a little attention? I wore Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Certainly Red for an entire day and Revlon Colorburst Lip Gloss in FIRE for a full night (talk about red lips), and it’s one heck of an attention getter!

I kept hearing “Wow, you look great!” “Having a baby suits you!” “You are glowing!” from people who’ve seen me a zillion times since I had my baby four months ago, and never said a word about my glow before. I never wore red lipstick before (I usually wear beigey pink colors) but WoW! I’ll be breaking this Revlon red lipstick gloss out more often! Beautiful, Colorful Smoky Eyes

I tend to not wear eye makeup, but after playing around with Revlon ColorStay Eye Shadow palettes in Bombshell and Inspired I now regret it, because I love the look of smoky eyes. I feel smoky eyes during the day, if done with a light touch and minimally, is fabulous (and paired with neutral lips). Using color around the eyes is also lots of fun. I wear lipstick all the time, and I sometimes wear mascara, but I really was holding my potential back by not wearing a bit of eyeshadow.

Pretty Ice-Cream Colored Nails

Pretty nails are just, well, pretty. I love painting my nails, but when the nails start to chip I’d remove the nail polish and not reapply (laziness). Meanwhile, I think a gorgeous manicure is one of those things that gives me more confidence than anything…I love handing over money, writing something down, pointing, all with beautifully polished nails. I feel that others notice this too and think better of people who maintain these details in their appearance. So why don’t I keep them polished all the time?

I tried Revlon ColorStay Long Wearing Nail Enamel in Sorbet, a fun summer color, and they lasted longer with the Revlon ColorStay base coat and top coat. If I can devote an hour each Saturday afternoon to doing a simple polish change, it would make me feel fabulous all week, so this is one of those things we gals should definitely do for ourselves- and it’s more fun when the colors we use are colorful.
