Baking Soda is an amazing cleaning product, and I’ve written before about the many uses of baking soda. Well, as part of my Arm & Hammer #SwitchAndSave Challenge, I had the opportunity to discover even more unique uses for my favorite cleaning product. Have you ever heard of any of these?
Great Uses for Arm & Hammer Baking Soda
- Clean dirt and residue off fruits and veggies with Arm & Hammer Baking Soda by sprinkling some one and lightly brushing with a vegetable brush or clean, damp sponge
- Dust on stuffed animals and let sit for about 15 minutes before brushing off to keep those bears fresh
- Shake a bit of baking soda into your teen son’s sneakers about once a week to absorb odors and moisture
- Lovely manicure- dip brush into A&H Baking Soda and scrub nails and cuticles, then rub a (3 parts baking soda to 1 part water) paste on hands in a gentle circular motion to brighten, exfoliate, and smooth hands and nails
- Pour into diaper pails to deodorize (Oh my, LOVE this idea!!), and great for garbage pails too
- Add a sprinkle to your palm to mix in with your favorite shampoo and shampoo as usual, to remove residue from styling products
- Dabbing an Arm & Hammer Baking Soda solution soaked washcloth onto a razor burn or sunburn can sooth the pain
- Make water colors!! Mix 2 tbs Arm & Hammer Baking Soda with 2 tbs flour, 2 tsps sugar, and one packet of a dry, unsweetened drink mix. When ready to paint, add 2tbs water, and paint away!
There are many more, and it’s astounding how versatile this little box of powerful white powder is.
