Have You Ever Used Baking Soda For This?

Baking Soda is an amazing cleaning product, and I’ve written before about the many uses of baking soda. Well, as part of my Arm & Hammer #SwitchAndSave Challenge, I had the opportunity to discover even more unique uses for my favorite cleaning product. Have you ever heard of any of these?

Great Uses for Arm & Hammer Baking Soda

  • Clean dirt and residue off fruits and veggies with Arm & Hammer Baking Soda by sprinkling some one and lightly brushing with a vegetable brush or clean, damp sponge
  • Dust on stuffed animals and let sit for about 15 minutes before brushing off to keep those bears fresh
  • Shake a bit of baking soda into your teen son’s sneakers about once a week to absorb odors and moisture
  • Lovely manicure- dip brush into A&H Baking Soda and scrub nails and cuticles, then rub a (3 parts baking soda to 1 part water) paste on hands in a gentle circular motion to brighten, exfoliate, and smooth hands and nails
  • Pour into diaper pails to deodorize (Oh my, LOVE this idea!!), and great for garbage pails too
  • Add a sprinkle to your palm to mix in with your favorite shampoo and shampoo as usual, to remove residue from styling products
  • Dabbing an Arm & Hammer Baking Soda solution soaked washcloth onto a razor burn or sunburn can sooth the pain
  • Make water colors!! Mix 2 tbs Arm & Hammer Baking Soda with 2 tbs flour, 2 tsps sugar, and one packet of a dry, unsweetened drink mix. When ready to paint, add 2tbs water, and paint away!

There are many more, and it’s astounding how versatile this little box of powerful white powder is.
