Lovely reminder. At this moment, my husband and I have our time priorities in order, but I’m working on paring down the “stuff,” so I don’t spend so much time looking for things, maintaining things, and being visually overwhelmed. This is good motivation – thanks for sharing!

This is a great post! We have to have a routine or nothing would ever get done. I am also a list maker. I am going to share this, for sure.
These are such great rules to live by! I just pared down my friend’s list on Facebook because all of the people that I really didn’t know to begin with or that stress me out, need to go. Then there’s the Internet which is both a blessing for easy communication, working, and information and a curse because it can distract us from the most important things like family and friends.
These are wonderful! I’ve started sticking to a bedtime and waking up a bit earlier and I love it. I feel so much happier when I’m well rested and have the morning to ease into the day rather than rushing straight to my work. Of course, this is much easier when you don’t have children, I’m sure. =)
I really need to get back to the simple life and planning healthy meals

It can be so hard to take a step back and pare things down a little, but it’s so essential. I think society conditions us to think that the busier we are, the better & more worthy we are, but having free time and contemplative moments is important too!
I love these!! They are wonderful! My favs are “make a menu” (which really helps a TON) and “don’t waste time helping people who are ungrateful.” There really are so many people in the world that need our time, there is no reason to give to someone that won’t appreciate it! “Don’t throw your pearls to the swine!”
These are great tips. I need to take more of these to heart. I’d love to live more simply. I especially need to remember to let things go more often – dwelling on them does no good.
I’ve simplified things so much over the years, and where I really notice it is over Christmas. Also, I have no debt anymore!

You’re so cute! I love the hair and the belly shots! I think you kind of look like Molly Sims in that pic of the hair. And my husband says our bellies look about the same so I must look 7 months pregnant too. Although my dental hygenist couldn’t tell I was pregnant and my friends say they wouldn’t have known if I hadn’t told them but I think they’re all lying. (I’m keeping the typo on hygienist because I’m too lazy to delete and retype everything.)

I don’t think you look 7 months pregnant. When I was pregnant with my son, my father in law used to take me to my chiropractor appointments. When I was about 6 or 7 months along, he started asking all the people in the waiting room every time we went if they thought I was having twins.

I have always felt like my parents did a poor job of this and it took me years to figure out how to be financially responsible. I made sure my kids were better prepared. Great tips!
Lots of great ideas & tips, Penelope! I did have to work harder with my oldest son and when he left home he was quite resposible. The youngest caught on pretty quickly & they had a class in 1st grade on money & what each peice is worth, his teacher told us he was the first one to grasp the idea…. he is still great with managing & saving. He did have to teach his wife to balance a check book when they first married tho!! LOL
We’re trying to start them young as well. They get a weekly allowance and have savings accounts. Great tips!
