Homemade Vanilla Chai Tea Latte #IDelight @InDelight

One of my favorite drinks in the entire world is a hot cup of Chai Tea Latte! I don’t want to drop five dollars every time I crave a Chai Tea Latte (like 5 times a day? that’s a lot of money), so of course when I found out from my neighbor that you can make Chai Tea Latte at home (and she in fact does), I wanted to learn! And since my favorite chai tea lattes are vanilla flavored, of course I had to add vanilla flavor, via International Delight Fat-Free Sugar-Free French Vanilla Creamer, which adds no fat or calories (making it a basically fat-free drink).

Homemade Chai Tea Latte Recipe

Here’s what you’ll need to make your own Vanilla Chai Tea Latte at home:

Vanilla Chai Tea Latte Ingredients

2 cups water
2 black tea bags
1/2 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp cardamon
1 clove
4 tbs brown sugar
2 cups fat-free sugar-free International Delight French Vanilla creamer
1 tsp cinnamon

Directions

1. Boil water and put in both tea bags. Let steep for one minute and toss bags.
2. Add ginger, cardamom, and clove and stir in.
3. Heat sugar in creamer until dissolved, and pour half a cup into each mug.
4. Remove clove from tea, stir in cinnamon, and pour half a cup into each mug of milk mixture.

Add a light dusting of cinnamon or nutmeg on top and enjoy! I have an espresso machine so I sometimes add a froth of creamer on top, but this is totally optional (if you prefer the texture of a little froth). Hope you enjoy making your own flavored homemade chai tea lattes! International Delight currently offers a variety of Fat-Free and Sugar-Free flavors to keep you on track with your fitness goals while still enjoying your favorite drinks.

  • This looks delicious! I agree about the high price of Chai at cafes. It’s a little nuts considering a lot of the time I see them pouring pre-made tea out of a container and adding milk to it! Thanks for sharing this. =)
