One of my favorite things to do is watch my sons as they learn, explore, and figure things out. It never ceases to amaze me how smart children are, and little man is already learning about the solar system in school, so a place like the New York Hall Of Science is perfect for them. Interactive exhibits about everything from atoms to optics teaches them advanced science that today’s children seem incredibly capable of understanding.
This last Saturday was Super Cyberchase Day at the New York Hall Of Science, and the boys had the opportunity to meet Harry and Digit from WNET’s Cyberchase and learn about recycling. Children played the “Trash Dash”, make pinwheels and pop-up Mother’s Day cards, all while screening episodes from this season of Cyberchase, an educational and socially conscious program from PBS.
It was our first time bringing the boys to the New York Hall of Science, so after the event we walked around and enjoyed learning and discovering interesting facts at the other exhibits. So much was interactive and involved people of all ages actually getting in and learning, trying, creating…it was so much fun!
The boys also learned about submarines,
engineering, building, and constructing,
and even climbed a rock wall for fun.
We had such a great time, but absolutely have to return because we couldn’t do it all in one day. My husband’s favorite part was definitely the rockets. They are no longer active and are now on display outside.
Wow, that looks like an amazing place to visit. Our children would love it!
We live near a museum of science and technology and love taking our son there. I’ll definitely go to the Hall of Science if we ever make it to New York.
I love it when the kids can play and be active instead of just looking.
Sounds like a really fun day! I wish we lived in a bigger place so we could have fun places like this to visit! We are so rural their isn’t much here!
My goodness, my son would have a blast at this place! 🙂
Oh looks like the perfect outing for a boys imagination.
Sounds like a nice place to visit! I know my favorite Chicago museum is the Museum of Science and Industry, so I’m sure I’d love this one, too.
That is such a super cool outing. I’d love to go sometime. I love science.
My boys would absolutely love that place. Looks like an amazing resource of fun and learning.
I’m so glad you had fun and that you have a lot to look forward to on your next visit!
Looks like an awesome place for the whole family!
Wow, it looks like such a fun place, I have to take my son.
Looks like such a fun way to spend the day with your kids.
How fun! My daughter used to watch Cyberchase all the time when she was younger, it’s such a great learning show.
That’s a great weekend activity for families. Looks like there was a little something for everyone!
This looks like an awesome museum. My grandkids would love to meet Harry and Digit!
Oh how fun. It looks like you all had a blast.
Our entire family has recently taken a huge interest in science and this place looks extraordinary! I bet we could spend a few days exploring.
