Two Steak and Sushi Den- a popular steak and Japanese restaurant in New Hyde Park, features an awesome fusion of two cultures for their unique menu offerings. Two’s decor is simple and modern, they host a very long sushi bar, banquet rooms for parties, and are a popular spot for business meetings.

I recently dined here at Two for dinner, starting with a Caesar salad and divine Kabocha Squash Ravioli. The ravioli contained mushrooms and soy brown butter, and was so incredible that I find I still crave it days later. For sides to my 14 oz NY Strip Steak I had roasted wild mushrooms and smoked bacon and shallots, a hit at my table. To be perfectly frank, while the entrees were satisfying, the appetizers and sides can stand alone; the idea of grabbing a bunch of friends for a tapas night at Two is very appealing when they are this good.

My fusion dinner was capped off with the Bananas Foster Sweet Side beverage, which I would pass on in the future. I’m not sure what I expected (something more dessert-like I suppose) but I discovered the Bananas Foster dessert beverage was actually just an alcoholic beverage (heavy on the alcohol) that didn’t suit me after my delicious meal. I won’t be ordering this again for my tapas night.
Two Steak and Sushi Den uses grass fed beef, sustainable seafood, and a water purification system for the health and environmentally conscious (like me). It’s a good place for an evening out with friends who can’t decide if they’d prefer sushi or steak, or to hold a business dinner- the reason I was there. I can easily recommend Two- don’t forget to order the ravioli.
$= About $85 a person with appetizer, entree, one beverage, and dessert.

Sounds like a great place. The ravioli sounds delish. I cannot wait to get to the city!
Wow – that sounds delicious – especially the ravioli! Where did you put all that food? LOL
The only time I eat like this is when we cruise, and the scale shows it when I’m home 🙂
That ravioli sounds amazing!
