I was always told that if you do what you love, you never work a day of your life. I love writing, so being a mom blogger is an ideal small business for me. Similar to Avon and tupperware parties, but much sweeter, Dove is helping moms create income by hosting Dove Chocolate Discoveries parties. You are the chocolatier and host, and share with family and friends a variety of chocolate treats, desserts, and drinks that they can sample and purchase. We had the opportunity to try out a Dove Chocolate Discoveries Starter Kit at our own chocolate party this weekend, and with our Chocolate Discoveries products we created dark chocolate mousse, chocolate fondue, chocolate martinis, and chai tea chocolate drinks:
Needless to say, the party was a sweet hit. About 17 close friends and family gathered together to dunk fruits and pretzels into warm dark chocolate, try out specialty drinks, and have a fun evening. We also served cake and cookies, but they largely went unnoticed. Between our fruit plate filled with yummy fruits ready for chocolate dipping, and the heart-shaped fondue set, it was a delectably laid out table.
Everything was a hit. The three ingredient chocolate mousse was perfect on its own, and would also be great as a cake topping. Before I was even introduced to the idea of becoming a Chocolate Discoveries Chocolatier, I loved their dark chocolate bars, which can be eaten on their own, created into a divine chocolate mousse, or melted in the romantic fondue kit. The chocolate fondue set is a heart shaped mini-fondue kit for two that heats up the chocolate with a tea light. You can even make a romantic heart shaped brownie in it, and there are a variety of other great products offered, such as brownie mix, truffles, chocolate covered almonds and cashews, as well as a lot of support for those who decide to start selling Dove Chocolate for an income, including dvd’s, a tutorial with instructions and tips, and more.
After the party, I settled in for the evening with hubby and enjoyed our Dove Chai Tea Chocolates. We couldn’t get enough of these chocolate drinks, a hot chocolate drink flavored with chai tea- it was incredible!
