Spring is finally here, which means we get to head out into our backyard to enjoy the beautiful weather, and longer days that pass into lovely evenings. It’s also my chance to break out the patio furniture and party gear, start up the fire pit, and invite friends and family to start heading on over.

Enliven and illuminate
We love the Indoor and Outdoor Party Lights from Jackson & Perkins, all weather lights in warm white strung on black cord that adds true charm to our evening parties. They can be strung along a fence, between poles, along a wall, around a canopy… anything your designer’s heart desires. And you don’t have to take them down until the summer is over because they are all weather lights.
The Indoor and Outdoor Party Lights are for indoors or outdoor use, and can be hung high or low. Since we love to stay outside as long as we can when the spring weather arrives, we love to use ours in our backyard, all around the area we sit. The shape of the bulbs and the black cord are so retro, they remind us of our honeymoon in Italy where we dined outdoors in the evenings and it looked like fireflies were lighting up the sky and the space all around us.
Jackson & Perkins Indoor and Outdoor Party Lights are easily strung up for a radiant effect … either run a line through each light via a little hook on top to make a straight line of illumination, or fasten every third light or so for a more wavelike effect. They can be extended for larger areas with multiple strands, making a magical looking dreamscape of lights all around the dark, criss-crossing back and forth between structures, or simply extend from one end of the area to the others.
We currently have them affixed to walls on the back of our home, crossing back and forth between the garage and back wall, but I plan to enhance our lighting with more that cover the ceiling inside our rain canopy so that it looks like we are looking up at the sky at night… how picturesque!
