How Do You Celebrate Earth Month?

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Green Works. All opinions are 100% mine.

April is Earth Month, and the focus of many turns to ways we can protect our natural resources and leave a lighter footprint on the planet. We endeavor to reuse, recycle, upcycle, and waste less. We attempt to build more and restore more where ever we can. And many of us aim to solely support companies that share our mission of loving the Earth as much as we do.

Green Works offers simple cleaning products that are powerful and made with ingredients that are at least 97% derived naturally, helping us on our mission to celebrate nature while protecting it. Green Works offers wipes and sprays made with plant-based and mineral-based cleaning ingredients that are biodegradable and not tested on animals. They strive to use environmentally sustainable packaging also, so in our home we use Green Works wipes for a broad range of cleaning.

Ways to Celebrate Earth Month

You can make a difference, and if you are looking for some steps to help, here are some of my favorites. And remember, you don’t have to wait for Earth Month to start…. love the Earth every day ♥︎

1. Make it a priority to reuse and recycle. Buy products that are made from recycled materials, and upcycle packaging into useful home items (like containers for storage or supplies for children’s crafts).

2. Remember to turn off the water when not in use, and seek out ways to enjoy the warmer months that are less wasteful (ie less running through the sprinklers for hours each day, more letting your children help you plant seeds in your garden).

3. Plant a tree with your family. You can do this in your yard, in a park, at your child’s school… take your children and plant a beautiful new life-giving tree, then talk to them about the wonders of nature and why trees are important. You can find more information at Arbor Day Foundation.

4. Support companies, like Green Works, that work with the Earth when creating their products, instead of using it. Green Works Wipes are compostable, 99% naturally derived, safe to use throughout the house as an all purpose cleaner that can even cut through grease and dirt, and won’t leave residue or chemical fumes behind.

Green Works products are available at Target in the cleaning section (or you can order it online to have it ready for pick-up like I did). Save at Target with Cartwheel– the 20% offer ends soon.

We encourage our friends and family to support environmentally conscious companies, and to incorporate ways to show love for the planet in their homes. Green Works is our choice for all purpose cleaning wipes… every day I wipe down the kitchen counter with Green Works wipes and do a quick cleaning of other surfaces before calling it a day and heading to bed. Green Works Spray is also tough on grease and grime and a highly rated all purpose cleaning spray available at Target also.
