Mother’s Day is the day we celebrate the woman who was there for everything, and who raised us into the person we are today. We honor these women, and now that I’m a mother myself, I truly see how much work and heart it takes to be a good mom.
We have a family tradition of a Mother’s Day brunch, where we all get together and enjoy eggs, bacon, muffins and coffees or teas while sharing special memories from years past. It’s a fun way to connect, and I especially love the presence of multiple generations in one room… great grandmas, grandmas, moms, daughters, and baby granddaughters… it’s an amazing thing to be able to experience this. My grandmother always said “You only get one mother, so honor her.” We do, and diamonds never hurt so jewelry isn’t a bad way to do it!
