Don’t Let The Dark Side Win Because You Forgot To Buy Batteries

Star Wars: Episode VII is fast approaching, and my sons have been battling all over our home with their Star Wars electronic light sabers to prevent the Dark Side from taking over. Hasbro is offering the most realistic looking Lightsabers I have yet to see, a blue Ultimate FX Light Saber for Obi-Wan Kenobi and red Ultimate FX Light Saber for Darth Vader, so choose your side and fight.

We recently watched all of the first six Star Wars episodes in anticipation of the newest episode on December 18th, so receiving electronic versions of the awesome weapon they see on their movie screens, with amazing sound effects and glowing lights, was rather thrilling for our boys.

The only thing that could stand in the way is not having batteries, and we’ve all been there. In fact, the very first birthday we had for my son, lots of presents were gifted to him, and none with batteries, and we didn’t know to stock up on them either for times like that! We had to run out to a 24 hour pharmacy and pick a bunch up so he wouldn’t be disappointed, but today, we handle it better….

I created a battery storage case out of a handled plastic case with dividers… it’s perfect for separating and organizing our Duracell batteries by size, and we have never worried about a flashlight or toy or remote control dying on us because now we always have batteries- we keep our battery case stocked and ready! It’s a hectic time of year, so don’t forget to keep it powered up with Duracell Batteries.

And so the fun began….

The Star Wars Ultimate FX Light Saber glows and hums as children slice it through the air, just like a real Light Saber. It’s motion sensor-controlled and the sound effects include sounds like clashing, battle impact and crackling sounds… just make sure they are powered up with Duracell batteries to last through any battle.
