Spinach And Feta Wraps Recipe

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of AllWhites Egg Whites. All opinions are 100% mine.

Scrambled eggs are a favorite family recipe, something even my littlest ones will eat (and it’s hard for me to find something everyone in my family agrees on). I don’t make it as often as I should, and that is simply because taking the time to crack and separate the white and yolk in all those eggs is too time-consuming. I don’t want to do that on busy mornings! And most mornings for us are busy (and I only like egg white omelettes, so separate I must).

Discovering AllWhites® 100% liquid egg whites made it possible for me to make my family eggs as often as they ask for it, and the fact it’s a fat-free, cholesterol-free and low-calorie alternative to regular eggs are just big ol’ bonuses. Now it’s just another easy to add ingredient, no work involved, so I can make everyone what they want, easily, conveniently: scrambled, sunny side up, on a breakfast muffin, anything.

AllWhites Egg Whites are ideal for those of us with fitness goals that need to be fueled by lean protein- like my husband (in the gym every day). It also helps maintain a healthy lifestyle, which as mom, is my job for my kids (they don’t cook their own meals).

The best part? They can be used in any recipe that calls for eggs! No more picking egg shells out of the bowl when baking with the kids, or having to stand around cracking multiple eggs when trying to make a protein shake. AllWhites® Egg White is 100% liquid egg with no yolk, and can always be kept on hand when needed. If you are in Weight Weight Watchers®, it has a value of 0 PointsPlus® per serving.

spinach and feta wraps

Because AllWhites® Egg White can really be used in any recipe that calls for eggs, I wanted to share my recreation of their Spinach And Feta Wraps recipe:

Ingredients

1 cup AllWhites® egg whites
1 tsp. chopped basil
1/2 cup chopped fresh baby spinach leaves
1/3 cup crumbled feta cheese
2 whole-wheat tortillas
8 grape tomatoes, sliced

all white egg whites
feta and spinach omellette tortillas-3
feta and spinach omellette tortillas-2

Directions

1. Heat a 10 inch skillet over medium.
2. Pour AllWhites® egg whites into skillet and stir in spinach and basil. As eggs start to set, lift the edges with a spatula to allow uncooked eggs to flow to bottom of skillet.
3. Cook until eggs set and sprinkle with feta; cover and cook 1 minute longer. Cut in half.
4. Top tortillas with tomatoes, then eggs, and roll up and secure.

I changed their recipe a bit to accommodate what we have in our fridge and pantry (and our taste), and it was delicious! And no egg shells in our food! This recipe can be easily doubled for a family lunch and each wrap offers a whopping 26 grams of protein! (more than half of what women should have in a day).
