Find Your Perfect Mix-Ins With #TheOriginalSuperfood Generator

One of my favorite healthy snacks when I’m hungry during the day is cottage cheese, and Friendship Dairies Cottage Cheese, the Original Superfood since 1917, is always in my fridge. It’s light and refreshing and very satisfying, and I often eat it on a slice of toast or with something healthy and tasty on the side. It’s a great way to get an energy boost during a slow, exhausting day.

I always knew Friendship Dairies Cottage Cheese had calcium and tasted great, but I didn’t know it was considered a Superfood until recently. What makes it super? It’s very rich in protein, very versatile, delicious on its own or in a recipe, and can keep you energized anytime of day. So how do I typically enjoy it? Usually on a slice of whole grain bread, with some crunchy lettuce, or in a sandwich. It’s a cool snack for warm days, and the mix of textures when combined with other foods is awesome.

Since Friendship Dairies Cottage Cheese goes so well with so many things, I thought I could find some new ways to enjoy it, and tried out the Superfood Generator that gives ideas for other ways to enjoy my favorite Superfood. I am so glad I did!

I never thought about adding in cranberries, or nuts, or anything like that. How brilliant! My Superfood recipes always start with Friendship Dairies 1% cottage cheese, which has 15g pf protein per serving, and since I want more vitamin C, it suggested cranberries or diced mixed bell peppers for a tasty source of vitamins I need (those anti-oxidants and protein are great to stay fit and young looking). It’s a great mid-day snack or a perfect start to the day when I have it for breakfast.

Next time I go to the market, I plan to pick up some walnuts too, because combined with Friendship Dairies 1% Cottage Cheese and cranberries, it will be phenomenal. The 1% cottage cheese is surprisingly low in fat and calories per serving too, and since I’m watching my weight I love this. If you’d love to discover your perfect combo, check out Friendship Dairies inspirational online Superfood Generator tool, and find the mix-ins that are perfect for your needs and taste buds. Check out all the super-tasty and simple-to-make recipes. For those of you with a sweet tooth, there are recipes like Sweet & Crunchy Delight, or Choco Berry Bowl. If protein-packed decadence isn’t your thing, there’s always savory mix-ins like their Chicken Satay Bowl, or maybe a Kimchi Bowl will catch your fancy. Smoothies made out of cottage cheese? Yep. They’ve got a bunch of those too.

I love cottage cheese. I either put pepper or peaches in it!

  • Yum! I used to eat cottage cheese every day, but it’s been a long time since I picked some up. I need to add some to my cart this weekend. It’s such a great snack, especially when it’s too hot to be in the kitchen.

I am not gonna lie I don’t usually keep cottage cheese in my fridge…but I never knew what to even pair it with! This looks pretty good so maybe I should give it a second chance!

I’m not a big cottage cheese fan but my hubby and kids LOVE it. When I do buy it I never think to do anything like this… I will have to for them!

I hardly ever eat cottage cheese. I need to get it back in our fridge. Thanks.
