Family Fun In Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is an excellent family vacation spot, with so much to do with children, or without. Our time here was a blast.

We stayed at the Embassy Suites Oceanfront Resort at Kingston Plantation, located right on a stretch of Myrtle Beach coastline. During our four day family vacation we tried to visit as many Myrtle Beach attractions as we could with our two little kids, as well as spending time each day at the waterpark at Embassy Suites.

The waterpark pool area was a blast, and we had such a great time! It was easily a highlight for my children, they still ask us to go take the train back down to Myrtle Beach so they can go to the waterpark again.

Near the waterpark was a Wading River with small floats and inflatable rafts about 3 1/2 feet deep, that allowed parents to wade around with their children on the boats…very relaxing!

Our first evening was comprised of relaxing, enjoying dinner at the hotel, and unpacking. We arrived in the evening so we needed the downtime, but on our second day, we were ready to hit the ground running. We wanted to get out there and have fun in Myrtle Beach, because there is so much to do, and after our fun day at the various pools, we visited Medieval Times in the evening (our first time), and my sons were enthralled. It was a night of jousting and revelry with knights and ladies and kings (my son informed me he is a knight too):

Everything was great, from the entertainment to the food, a great family time.

My son took it all very, very seriously and was devastated when our Green Knight was killed.

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is really for everyone. We saw families with young children and with teens, couples on their honeymoon and couples who’ve been married a long time taking a trip together, young men celebrating their bachelor party, and people who loved Myrtle Beach so much they decided to return permanently and buy a condo or home in one of the many amazing new developments. You can find information to plan your family trip at VisitMyrtleBeach.com.

I was sponsored to visit Myrtle Beach and share my family’s honest thoughts of our adventures visiting local attractions, the beaches, and at our hotel.
