Bratsgiving Day Is August 16th! Celebrate With Our Beer n’ Brats Kebabs Recipe

I created this delicious Johnsonville® recipe as part of a #SausageFamily sponsored post for Socialstars.

This was a wonderful summer so far, and I’m glad we still have almost half left to continue to enjoy. We’ve spent days swimming at the beach, grilling in the park, on playdates and having barbecues, and the part that made it all so wonderful was the fact we did so much of this with friends.

We have many friends to be thankful for, so celebrating our friendships with get-togethers is the best way to spend our summer days. August 16th is National Bratwurst Day, and since it falls on a Sunday this year (the perfect day for a barbecue), and all my friends and family love grilling, it seems perfectly logical to me to celebrate with a Bratsgiving Celebration!

Brats Kebabs + Friends= Perfect Summer Day

Our neighborhood is super friendly, we enjoy block parties and all work together to make it fun for everyone, all ages, every family on the block. We invited family and friends to our block party, and provided the Johnsonville Beer n’Brats Kebabs for all to enjoy. Other families chipped in by providing a DJ, or an inflatable water slide, or Italian ices. Teamwork and friendship and lots of fun!

1. Cut brats into 1 1/2 inch thick slices and thread onto wooden skewers, alternating with vegetable pieces.

3. Remove from grill, let cool a few minutes and enjoy!

These kebabs are incredibly tasty and don’t need any seasoning. Since I grow a vegetable garden at home, I also added on some zucchini from my garden, and tend to mix it up (any veggies you love will do).

Don’t forget the cold drinks! Beer n’ Bratwurst reinforces the natural flavor combination of brats and beer, which is so popular at barbecues, and they were definitely a hit. A delicious Bratsgiving like this is the kind that lasts well into the night, especially when there is good food and music and friends. The kids ran around and played in the streets while the adults danced and laughed and ate. Good times!

I hope you enjoy our Johnsonville Beer n Brats Kebabs at your Bratsgiving celebration! Find Johnsonville on facebook and twitter for updates and recipe.
