Back to school fashion is probably the only time the words fashion are on the mind of my sons, but the truth is most kids love shopping for back to school clothes. Especially if they get to Bend the Trend and express their quirky, unique sense of style with mashed up outfits that mix totally different styles into one really cool look.
JCPenney® has a lot to choose from all under one roof, and at great prices, so it was the spot we hit this year for our back to school shopping. They have a really amazing department for children and teens, a great selection of styles for everyone. We had a great time checking out the Bend the Trend mannequins for some ideas, and to see what older kids might be wearing too.
Of course, the fun isn’t in copying someone else’s idea of what looks cool. It’s about your own unique sense of style, even if you are only three or six. Hey, kids just gotta be kids! I sent my sons out with these instructions: pick out three outfits, anything you like, and they are your first week’s back to school outfits. They ran off to pick out their own clothes, no rules…
Frankly, I love what they came up with! These were my personal favorite back to school outfits for my boys featuring the cool new mashed trend…plaid with camo? Sporty with neon? Why not?
What do you think of their picks from JCPenney®? Not bad for little kids. And the prices are so affordable we bought their entire fall wardrobe, some pajamas featuring their favorite characters, and my son’s first watch (a cool looking digital watch for kids with Spiderman) all on the same shopping trip.
JCPenney® has so much to offer, even for me, so I picked up some goodies for myself (long overdue, much needed) at their Sephora counter. Mom wants to be autumn-pretty this fall with some new colors and so I splurged on some new blush, lipsticks, and eye shadow, and hubby picked up some necessities (why are men always so practical? I think I need to surprise him with a mashed trend outfit too).
Happy Back To School Shopping!
