5 Days To Softer, Smoother Skin @VaselineBrand #Vaseline

This post brought to you by Vaseline. The content and opinions expressed below are that of Penelope’s Oasis.

This time of year, my skin tends to get very dry. It runs in my family, and some years it’s been so bad that I’d wake up with the skin on my hands cracked and bleeding. Obviously my poor skin needed to be hydrated, so drinking lots of water and using a moisturizing lotion was necessary. I’ve tried many over the years, because I still suffer from dry skin, and every autumn I have to start taking extra good care of my skin again.

I love fragrant lotions but my very dry skin didn’t react well to fragrance (too irritating), so when I was challenged to the 5-Day Challenge with a Vaseline Healing Kit, I was up for it- it’s a brand I’ve used for years, and their Intensive Care Advanced Repair lotion is fragrance free. It features micro-droplets of Vaseline jelly in a lotion that isn’t greasy (and it really isn’t), instead it feels really smooth and silky because of the Vaseline jelly, and my skin just absorbs it right up and feels wonderful.

The 5-Day Challenge Kit comes with test strips to show me what my before and after is. The before showed skin that is severely dry, and considering how rough it felt, this didn’t surprise me. Vaseline Intensive Care Fragrance Free Lotion contains a special blend of humectants and those healing micro-droplets of Vaseline Jelly to moisturize deeper, and is clinically proven to heal very dry skin in 5 days. I saw major improvements way sooner.

Here is my before and after (yep, barely any dry skin flakes on the after sample):

Vaseline also sent me a Winter Care Pack, with branded marshmallows, Godiva milk chocolate cocoa, and a mug with my Instagram name, so I could relax for a few moments after applying the lotion and enjoy the soothing feeling of my skin feeling more hydrated and moisturized. Vaseline Intensive Care is available at mass retail outlets starting at about $2.99-$8.49. I keep my bottle close to me, on my desk while I work.

  • My skin gets dry during the winter time as well, so I’ll definitely need something like this.

  • I’m dependent upon moisturizers during the winter months to keep my skin from making me feel like I’m molting. I can already tell a difference in my lips.
