A Day Of Adventures In Bayville, NY

My son has been asking to go miniature golfing all summer. He’s never tried it but heard about it from his school friends, and was anxious to see what all the other four year olds were talking about, so of course I wanted to take him (mini golf is fun!). We found a deal in Groupon‘s Summer Shop for a day of adventures, including miniature golf, at Bayville Adventure Park, so we purchased it right away, and little man went mini golfing for the first time. Along the way, daddy shared some pointers to improve his game 🙂

Bayville Adventure Park is located right across the street from Bayville Beach, and is amazing. There was so much to do, with ten feature attractions that ranged throughout land, sea and air. We managed to hit seven, and our Groupon is for a two day deal, so Bayville Adventure Land let us know we can come back any time for that second day to finish up our fun adventures.

Today, we mini golfed on what is probably the coolest miniature golfing green I have ever seen:

And we were terrified by Baxter Bay’s Mystery Fun House and Mirror Maze (that had three girls screaming so much they ran over to me asking if they could finish the maze with my family). It was 3d (we were provided with 3d glasses), and the creepy exhibits, so many of them, looked like they were literally jumping out at us with bloody carving knives and rotting teeth. It was incredible!

The boys scooted around in bumper cars at Colonel “Wrong Way” Bay’s Bumper Boat Safari, squirting other riders with water as they bumped. My husband squirted me once while I stood on the side taking pictures, and my chivalrous son yelled “No, not at mommy!”- good boy!

Our littlest was enamored with the Adventure Express Train Ride, so of course we hopped onto it for a tour of the entire park. Our conductor pulled the horn and went full steam ahead without rails, so park guests had to jump out of the way or else be hit by our pretty fast moving train…it was really funny 🙂

Only one person in our group braved the super high rock climbing mountain (my sons have no fear)

We took a break at the Beaches and Cream Soda Shoppe, before settling in for a long ride home. We left with my husband exclaiming “That was fun! When can we come back for the second day?”…totally a fun place for all ages.

We are participating in Groupon‘s Summer Shop Blogger Promotion, where I get to share all my summer adventures with you. I’m finding great deals for 50% or more off and it’s helping us truly create a summer to remember for our family. If you buy or redeem a Groupon from now until August 28th, you will be entered to win one of many cash prizes, including a $50,000 grand prize…now that would make an already awesome some even more epic!

  • This looks like so much fun. Miniature golfing is a great family event. When Zeva gets a bit older, I plan on dragging the rest of the family out to do it. I’m confident we’ll have a family fun day too.

Thank you for letting me live through you with these amazing pictures. It looks like you all had a great family day out.
