100% All Natural Family Adventure In Gulf County

We are a family that typically vacations once a year, but now that our children are no longer babies, we want to take family trips more often. We look for family vacation ideas that are great for a family of four with two children under five, and we want to relax, be outdoors, and see parts of our beautiful country. Our focus is always the US…we love our country and want to share all its beauty with our children while enjoying many fun adventures together.

Gulf County in Northwest, Florida is a destination that will really let your family unplug. Gulf County offers white-sand beaches and beautiful bayous along its 43 miles of coastline, a great deal of which faces some of the most glorious sunsets in the world, so you can really appreciate how much natural beauty our world is blessed with. There are no distracting high rise buildings or noisy highways in Gulf County, and you can count on having difficulty getting wi-fi in most spots, so you are basically forced to relax and enjoy yourself and your family, no matter how much of a Type A workaholic you are!

Gulf County is beautiful all year round, including the autumn, and is known as the #ChampionOfSunsets. It’s rated one of the top ten locations for families vacationing with furry family members (they roll out the red carpet for pets) so your entire family can relax together. 20% of visitors come at least five times a year because of how magnificently relaxing it is (they are known as loyalists), but about 40% only come over the summer because they don’t realize how amazing Gulf County is throughout the rest of the year as well. The “loyalists” have an active facebook group where they chat about their favorite places to visit and hidden gems, and it’s an engaged group because of how much they love going to Gulf County throughout the year. Locals often join in with tips themselves, happy to share the area they are so proud of.

Would you love a family vacation where days and night are filled with leisurely walks outdoors, enjoying amazing prehistoric-looking wildlife, incredible sunsets, fun activities like spotting starfish while snorkeling and kayaking, and fishing off a pier? You can even cook what you catch! If you have little children, these are the kinds of memories of family life they would enjoy forever. I want to create wonderful memories with my children and think they would appreciate an annual trip to Gulf County each year to unplug as a family and just focus on having fun together.

One was for a cruise for couples and another one was a trip for two that I had won, so I couldn’t take my children. Florida is one state that I wouldn’t mind visiting again, especially with my family. It’s so gorgeous there!

  • I would love to go there and soak up some sun. The beaches in Florida are really nice.
