I’m often inspired by the creativity I see around me when it comes to crafts, especially this time of year. I want to to create colorful joy too, and make the days of those around me a little brighter with heartfelt notes and personalized goodies! BIC® is challenging those of us who want spread the holiday magic with a month of Merry Marking inspirational challenges that can help make your holidays more merry and bright. It doesn’t need to be complicated, it just needs to be done with a cheery sense of love and fun!

BIC® created a pdf booklet filled to the brim with inspirational ideas that allow you to express yourself more colorfully, while added a bit of a personal touch and some whimsy to your Christmas. It lists idea after fabulous idea in an index card style format, so you can print and cut them out to save, or share them with others too! You can get the booklet of merry marking and a coupon to start marking! Here are some of my favorites:

Create Personalized Ornaments With Your Children To Gift To Grandparents

My most treasured possessions are those that feature or are made by people I love. I can’t imagine a more perfect gift to give my parents than ornaments decorated with the hands of their beloved grandchildren to grace their Christmas tree every year. #SAPPHIRE

Make the Party Really Fun With A Treasure Hunt!

When I was a kid, I thought scavender hunts and treasure hunts were the most fun things ever. Now that I have kids, of course I’m going to make sure they have the sort of fun kids love, so for our holiday parties, hiding little toys and trinkets around and providing the kidlets with treasure maps to run around and get excited while they hunt is a MUST DO, so I LOVE this idea from BIC®! #PLAYFULPURPLE

Perform Random Acts Of Kindness- With Pretty Notes Attached!

Everytime we hear about someone doing something generous for strangers, paying it forward in some way, or just being super helpful and kind with no expectation of anything in return, it elevates us all to a happier place. Why not join in on the fun? I LOVED this idea for making someone’s day, especially when they might need some help! #MISTYBLUE

I downloaded it to check them out, and I expected a whole book of ideas. I love how concise it is! I’m saving them and trying them out. I ended up leaving an umbrella with a note for co-workers two times when we had some really rainy days here, and I also shared treats with neighbors with notes. I bought the metallic bics.

BIC pens are great and these are lovely ideas for using them. I like the idea of random acts of kindness with pretty, hand-written notes attached 🙂

  • Bic Pens are wonderful! I love using them for doodling in my planners!

  • Treasure hunts are really fun to do especially for kids. This kind of activity trains them with their focusing skills and gives them more excitement to reach the goal.

  • I think all of these ideas are great but the one I want to focus on most is the random acts of kindness. I’m so happy that this is starting to spread just because it shows that some of us still have a heart.

  • When I was at school I loved using BIC pens, and still do because the smooth writing makes getting in a creative flow with them so easy.

I’m OBSESSED with these pens! Seriously love them!

  • Thank you for the coupon. I am addicted to pretty coloured pens and markers. I love the sapphire blue one that you show in your post. I need to go out and buy these markers. The crafting possibilities are endless.

These ideas are so much fun! We go through a lot of pens around here and the specialty ones are always a super hot commodity.
