A good cup of coffee is what gets me through my sleep-deprived days. Who am I kidding? A lot of good cups of coffee get me through each day, and I always turn to my favorite standby of coffee flavored with International Delight Hazelnut, but after seeing all the great flavors of International Delight others are enjoying, I got a little jealous. Unfortunately some flavors are hard to find, so one day I packed up my family for a ride, and drove out to every market in the area to find some new flavors, and came home with a great stash. It was worth the search! International Delight Almond Joy puts a delicious new twist on my mornings.
Now that I found a new flavor to love, I wanted to have some fun with my morning coffee, and decided chalkboard mugs are the way to go. These are sold all over, and I use mine with a soap stone “pencil” that is like chalk but without the mess, or you can make your own chalkboard mug at home (I found an awesome tutorial for diy chalkboard mugs that are the prettiest I have ever seen!).
Now I’m writing messages to my family for fun, or making notes for myself as reminders, or challenging anyone who is game to some tic tac toe…
My son is kind of sort of getting it, but he has tried making two X’s in a row (without giving me a turn) or drawing an X over my O and explaining to me that I put my O where he wanted to put his X, but he’s trying (and considering how well he plays Candy Crush, I have a feeling he will be an expert tic tac toe player by the week’s end).
