Images of my sons completely fill my home. I want to see them all the time, and it’s no secret that I have plenty of photos to choose from (momtographers everywhere know what I’m talking about). We had a canvas print for little man gifted to us after he was born, featuring one of his baby photos, so of course we wanted to do the same for our second son. Printerpix is a service that creates personalized photo gifts, including photo canvas pieces like the one we created for our son.
We chose a 16″ x 20″ canvas print of our baby showing him as he usually is…peaceful and sweet. The lightweight frame is made of 2 cm wood and is easy to display anywhere (we chose to hang it on a wall in his room). It didn’t have any wire or hook to hang it, so we had to prop the wood frame on the nail. The photo canvases are available in sizes ranging from 10″ x 8″ to 48″ x 36″, and they also offer shaped canvases for a more fun, unique look.
The delicate, thin canvas is printed with a fade resistant ink and hand stretched across the frame to display our bunchkin. It’s a rather translucent material without the grainy texture of traditional canvas, which fit well with the light and airy overall look of our photo choice. It’s right next to an east facing window, so I appreciate that the ink is fade resistant and will hopefully stand up to years of direct, morning sunlight.
