To My Little Love Bug,
It was almost one year ago that you entered our lives, a month early, a fragile and sweet little creature. You only recently took your first steps, and every day your tender smiles and squeaking attempts to speak amuse and delight us. We are so lucky to have you. You’ve completed our family, and gave me two perfect things to live for, a reason to happily wake up every morning.
Because of you and your brother, I no longer plan my life in twenty years. Instead, I want to hang on to every second now, enjoy every precious moment, because you make them all matter. I want to focus on each one now, and appreciate how blessed I am in a way I never did before.
I love your chubby little toes, how you bounce around when you hear music, and your mile long eyelashes and adorable little pout. Thank you for blessing my life.
Love for forever and a day,
Mommy
I’m joining my blogging friends in a monthly meme, Letters To My Son, and will be writing monthly letters to each of my sons. Feel free to click on the link below to read through other letters and beautiful photos- we formed a circle and you can keep going (and if you feel inspired, join us by writing your own Letter to your own son on your blog!) For another letter read my friend Brandy’s post!
What a sweet letter! I definitely agree about no longer looking to the future because it’s NOW that I live for. <3
Your boys are so cute! My son was another one with mile long eye lashes. He still gets compliments on them at 8 lol. I love your photos and your letter was so beautiful. I can’t wait to read more of them!
Love your letter! Sons are so special. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this circle! 🙂
He is adorable! I could just pinch his little cheeks…lol. Amazing how a child changes your life forever, isn’t it?

This is such a beautiful series of posts! I love having a daughter but I am always a little jealous of moms who have boys. 🙂

Beautiful letter Penelope. My life is so much fuller with my son.

So sweet. They are both adorable. <3
I just love this picture and this idea. I think I’ll hand write them though and put them in their baby books.

I love reading all these beautiful letters.
Oh what a sweet letter to him. I can’t believe he is almost one already. Time goes way too quickly.
Awwww, this will be such a precious gift to them over time. Love it, and I can hardly believe that it’s been a year’s time already!
What a beautiful heartfelt letter and both of your sons are adorable!
Very touching and sweet indeed…..
How sweet! I still haven’t written letter to either of my children even though there’s a spot for it in their baby books.
That is so beautiful! I have to agree with you, I don’t plan my life like I use to. I enjoy each day instead of planning for the future. Well said!
so well said. so sweet and heartfelt. thought of my two sons when reading this. there is such a wonderful feeling seeing two little guys become best buddies (and working through the sibling rivalry thing). my two are 12 and 15. when they’re happy, it’s magic. when they’re rivaling (is that really a word?), it’s, ugh, well, not.
like your meme. think i’ll repost the poetic meme i did for them a couple of years ago. let me know what you think (when you’re not slammed with life now that it’s 2x normal!!)
again, great post. always like visiting your side of the web!

Very sweet letter!!
Love this!
So sweet! Amazing how they come into our lives and change it so perfectly
What lovely sentiments.
Such a beautiful letter. It makes me think of when my boys were little like that.
My favorite line is the one about his mile long eyelashes. My youngest has those – very blond – I always wanted to put mascara on them. TeeHee
Enjoy every moment with them, they grow up too fast. HUGGLES!
I can’t believe he’s almost a year old. Time goes by way too quickly.
