Resolution: Get Fit!

Every year people make New Year’s resolutions, and the number one resolution is “Get in shape/Lose weight”. After having a second son in 2012, I’m ready to join the masses and make this my goal, and have been trying out The My Fitness Pal App for the last two weeks to help me achieve my goal.

What is my goal? To lose that last, stubborn 10 pounds of baby weight and to get my pre-pregnancy tummy tone back! Resolving to do this for New Year’s may be cliché, but the timing is perfect for me, and I am absolutely resolved to look hot by the time the warmer months roll around. Honestly, getting back in shape after baby two was harder than I expected, so I don’t mind the extra help.

The My Fitness Pal App is a free app that I downloaded onto my iPhone to keep track of what I eat (it tracks the calories for me and tells me how much I have remaining for the day) and what I do (to burn off some of that baby weight!). It keeps track of it all for me on a daily basis, which is believed to be one of the best ways to succeed in a weight loss goal (but since I’m not one for writing it all down, having an app do this for me rocks). It also shows me my progress over time, which is motivating.

The My Fitness Pal App is compatible for iPhone and Android and can really help anyone achieve their fitness goal. The asdfasf has a asdff of foods already, but of you eat more unique foods you can add it in along with the calorie count to really keep track of it all.

Now that I’ve been trying My Fitness Pal for a few weeks, I’m amazed at how much I’ve been noshing. Totally in denial, but I couldn’t be anymore once I saw the numbers in black and white. I also started to drink more water to reach my goal of eight glasses a day, and in general I notice I’m starting to get a bit trimmer. I love this!

If you are interested in trying it out, the My Fitness Pal app is free.
