Little Man’s New Riding Gear

He’s been asking for a bike, and at three he should certainly have one. A cool looking one, without training wheels, so he feels like the big boy that he is.

The Joovy Bicycoo Balance Bike (here in black) is definitely a cool looking bike. It’s award winning, lightweight design makes it easy for children to maneuver, and the tires are filled with air for a bouncier feel. It doesn’t have any training wheels- little man balances on it himself. It doesn’t have pedals either so little man is making it go with his own feet. There is a rear tire break on the handlebar, but he makes it stop with his own little feet anyway, and he loves his bike. He is able to zip around and has total control.

The Joovy Bicycoo is made of aluminum- sturdy and easy to put together. It’s for children 3+ but a younger child that is steady on their feet can probably enjoy it safely too (with adult supervision). Two to four seems like the right age for the Bicycoo, and little man really likes it. He looks so cute on it too!

He also sports the Joovy Noodle in black, a protective helmet that protects his precious little noodle. It’s lightweight and snug and adjustable with a dial, and I think he looks cute in that too.

The Joovy Noodle features vent holes, bug mesh, an extended visor, and is made for kids 1-4 years old who bike, scoot, and engage in any other fun, boo boo risking activities.

  • gotta get my oldest a new helmet he will be in a bike riding camp for special needs kids.

  • What a cool looking bike!

  • Balance bikes are definitely the way to go. Both my boys rode them from 2-4 and then when we introduced a regular bike at age 4, they were both up and going within 15 minutes. It was really pretty amazing. Love the look of this bike too and your little guy looks like he loves it!

  • We just sold one of my girls’ tricycles because they never use it ever since we got a balance bike. I think balance bikes are pretty awesome.

  • That is great that they make helmets too!

I don’t even know what bloglovin is (I need to get up to date)—is GFC really leaving?

  • He certainly does look like he’s enjoy his new bike! Our daughter never was a fan of bike riding. I also think that the helmet we bought her probably wasn’t the right size. So much more information is out now about products like these than when she was little.

  • Look at him go! What a cool “bike.”

  • It looks so cool! Do they make them for bigger boys?

  • He sure is having fun and you must feel good knowing that sweet little head of his is well protected.

  • Donna

I’ve never seen a bike without pedals. I can see how this would really help with balance though.

  • Penelope

I don’t think so, but that would be neat!

  • Mellisa
