Gift Idea For Kids: Get Your Child A Dog That You’ll Never Have To Walk

Little boys and girls everywhere love puppies, and if they don’t have one they usually wish they did. If you are the mom, you may not want to walk a dog every day, clean up after a dog, feed or bathe the dog, etc (because you know who will be doing these things if you get your child a pet), so how do you make your children happy anyway? How about a Furreal Friend?

Furreal Friends are virtual pets that act very like real pets, but without the mess and obligations of the real thing. No visits to the vet, no having to take your puppy out on a rainy day, no hair on your furniture, but your child can cuddle and walk their Furreal Friend. GoGo, My Walkin’ Pup is the Furreal Friend little man has been playing with, and he loves her (and since I’m just never, ever going to get him a live pet that is anything bigger than a gold fish, I’m happy with GoGo too).

This is a great gift idea for any child you know that wants a dog, but just can’t have one. There is even a Furreal Pony, a life-sized mini pony for the kid who always wanted their own pony (I know I did…I would have taken a pony, a dog, anything, but now that I know the work that would have been involved, I realized I wouldn’t have been happy- pets are like grandkids, they are so cute that you just want to play with them, but once they require work or maintenance, you are happy to hand them back to their real owner). If your children are allergic to pets, too young for a real pet, or you just don’t want to add pet care to your already long list of daily To Do’s, check out Furreal Friends for your “I want a puppy, please, please, pleeeeaase!” children.

We received the virtual pet featured in this post for the purpose of review.

  • adorable. my son asked me today if we could get a dog and I told him that is brother is allerigc to dogs and we can’t. Then he asked if his brother died can we get one . Kids just dont understand the concept but This doggie would be perfect for him

  • This would be perfect, but I’m sure my son would still want the real thing!

  • This is cute, my daughter is off the age now where she just wants a real one, but I’m allergic so she can’t have one. It makes me a little sad.

  • OMG… I want one…lol.

We have a dog, but I think my daughter would get a kick out of this.

While the kids are both so little…this is my kind of pet! Sweet T would go nuts for the pony.

  • Donna

One of my friends bought my son one two or three years ago… he loved that pup. 🙂

  • oh my gosh this is so cute. I think my daughters would love it

  • My daughter wants a “real” kitty.. I should look into furreal pets!

  • We have an actual dog yet my daughters both still want a Furreal Friend. Certainly more up my alley as a mom!

  • My daughter LOVES her Furr Real friends. They are really fun animals.

  • This is my hubby’s kind of dog.. He hasn’t changed one diaper yet.. LOL

  • Leilani

How cute! We already have a small dog, but my girls would love a toy one.

  • Man this is what I should have gotten instead of adopting one. Hahaha! It is a cute dog that will probably make lots of kids so happy. 🙂

  • Oh my that is so horrible… but a little funny at the same time.

  • So cute!!!

  • Cute. I think my real dog would destroy it in seconds though. The only downside of having a dog with a prey drive. gah!

  • These are adorable! Perfect for animal lovers not yet responsible enough to care for the real thing.
