Happy Father’s Day #DadsTalking

Facebook StumbleUpon Pin It

Father’s Day this year will be the first year that my husband celebrates fatherhood with both his boys. He reads my blog so I can’t say what we have planned for him, but I can say it includes great food, and lots of kisses and hugs from his sons.

worlds best daddy

My husband is an incredible man. He is a great husband, but he is also a truly great father, and everytime I see him with our sons, holding them, playing with them, napping with them, etc it makes me fall even more in love with him. He works hard for our family, is a great leader, and has a lot of integrity. I’d say I picked pretty well.

Dove sent us some Dove Men + Care products for my husband to try out, including a moisturizing body and face wash and a non-irritating antiperspirant. The Dove Men + Care face and body wash has a fabulous, aftershave-like smell that I love on my husband, and the anti-perspirant is a long-lasting formula that provide wetness protection for 48 hours (and it smells manly too, just the thing for a police officer- imagine he smelled like…callalilies? or like one of my other fruity or floral washes? no good for a tough guy)

fathers day gift ideas

Dove wants to know my favorite dad blogger(s), and luckily I had the option of picking a few, because I like more than one daddy blogger. My list of faves are all dads, husbands, and funny guys:

Why Is Daddy Crying- Even the name is funny
Mommy’s Busy, Go Ask Daddy- I love dad tales, so love that he writes about his kids a lot

If you are looking for some awesome dad blogs, check these out…even my husband likes them (and we tend to have a different idea of what is “funny”, but not in this case).

Dove is giving away this Father’s Day prize pack to a reader. To win, leave a message below telling me your plans for Father’s Day, or (if you don’t have any) a dad blogger you love. Find Dove on Facebook here.

Happy Father’s Day!

Review and give away products provided by Dove. All opinions are 100% my own.

Awww sweet post Penelope. We are going to go camping out at my dads and spend the entire weekend out there. All of us, my brother and his family and have a great time! BTW: Dove is a brand my husband loves.

My husband wants to go to the Melting Pot on Father’s Day. Though without the kids. I said well they made you a Father you should be spending time with them! But who knows! I love the pictures of your husband and your kids!

We don’t have any special plans. I expect my hubby’s kids will be here (they live with their mother), and we’ll have a nice meal, but it’s not a big surprise or anything. I will also call my dad, and I’ve already ordered some goodies to be delivered to him. I wish I could see him, but he’s about 5000 miles away! :(

Thanks!

Such a sweet post.

We don’t have any plans on Father’s Day because my husband and the kids will be in NY and I’ll be in LA. We will probably celebrate that next weekend somehow.

You sound like you truly have a sweet husband, and I’m so happy for you! Love the pic of him with the kids. :)

PS. 48 hours of dryness? Wow! (However, I’d be shoving him in the shower before that regardless.) lol

Love the pictures! Still deciding what to do for my husband for Father’s Day. Want to make sure we celebrate those involved good dads, right? =)

What a great Dad your boys have :) Too many boys don’t have a good role model in their lives, I’m pretty sure your boys are going to grow up to be fantastic young me who will also be good fathers.

No big plans here – my husband works during the day and our daughter is leaving for a retreat that evening, so maybe after we drop her off, I’ll take him for some ice cream!

My husband really likes Dove too – he has skin that’s easily irritated and it’s one of the few brands he can use that doesn’t leave him all itchy.

I love the pictures in this sweet post!! There’s nothing like loving your husband even more after watching him be a great father. We’re going to have a Father’s Day BBQ and spoil hubs with a great gift!

Hey, P! (Can I call you P?) Thank you so much for the shoutout. I really do appreciate it. I also have to say that you have a killer logo. I love it! So different from other sites, just colorful and streamlined.

Hope your hubby has an awesome Father’s Day, and it sure sounds like he will.

It melts my heart and makes my husband even more attractive when I see him with our girls. The pictures of your family are so sweet – I hope he enjoys his first Father’s Day with his family complete. Our Father’s Day plans will most likely involve BBQing of some sort!

BBQ’ing is the best!
