It’s no secret that our favorite baby shoes are Wee Squeak. Not only does our son proudly march around in them, squeaking as he goes, but he causes quite a scene as he does so. A cute bunchkin squeaking along tends to do that :) I’m not sure how many people we showed his Wee Squeaks to (and how many people told us they’d love to buy them for their children, and their spouse and employees as well), but our little guy is currently sporting his third pair, and we just love them more and more.
Wee Squeak get its name from the squeaking noise they make as tots walk in them. Each steps elicits a squeak, via a removable squeaker in the sole. When we’re in church, for example, they can be taken out. I actually forgot to do this once, and the usher said to me “Boy, those are some noisy shoes your son is sporting”. I was pretty used to the sound, but in a hushed church- not a good idea. They are reassuring, because I always know my son is near as long as I hear the constant squeaks.
Wee Squeaks are also well-made, with a leather upper and rubber soles that provide traction. They offer a variety of styles, and I find myself adoring the preppier looks for little boys. I had the opportunity to review the loafers featured in this review- they go great with his corduroys and vests and plaids. One of the things I love about dressing little boys is that the styles for them make them look like little men, or little gentlemen, and that is exactly what our little guy looks like in these spiffy shoes!
