Valentine’s Day Goodnight Sweetheart Couples’ Game~ Giveaway!

Valentine’s Day is four weeks away, but you don’t need to wait for that one day a year to let your spouse know what they mean to you. Everyday is a great day to tell your husband you appreciate him, and have some fun together. A fun way to do this is with love notes or a fun date night couples game. Goodnight Sweetheart is a company that offers both, with their “Nightcap Notes”, a set of cards that encourage you to tell your favorite person *why* you love him or her (and really, don’t you want to hear how much you are loved and appreciated?), and a fun game for couples that helps you open up, become more intimate, and have fun together.

Valentine's Day game
I tried out the Nightcap Notes with hubby, and wrote him a special message each day based on the prompts on the card, such as “You ROCK! Thanks for….” and “I smile each time I remember how you….” My husband smiled when he read each card, and put them on the side to hold on to. I love the idea of love notes (and sharing them before you go to bed, as a “nightcap”, is a great way to end the day) and in addition to making him feel like I see the great things he does and the man he is, it reminds me of all the things I love about him.

The couples’ game that Goodnight Sweetheart offers, and which they are kindly offering for giveaway to a reader of Penelope’s Oasis, is the Couple’s Edition Card Game which can be played each night before bed, or for fun on a date night (if you are dating, it’s also a terrific way to get to know each other, or maybe a fun way to end an anniversary for married couples- playing and having fun, reminiscing, and laughing together).

The goal of the game is to give couples who are busy (with work, kids, life) a couple minutes each day to communicate with each other. You can play continuously, card after card (which my husband and I did) or each read just one card a night before bed. Goodnight Sweetheart recommends playing a 15 minute game to start, then picking two cards, and playing for two minutes, each night thereafter. There are action cards, sharing card, sweetheart cards (my favorite!), and WILD Cards. Game activities include:

* Name something your spouse did early in the relationship that tipped you off that they were “the one”

* Kiss your spouse in five different places

* Share your favorite high school memory

* List two things that I do better than any other man/woman you know.

My husband and I played for a while, and we now keep this card game, enclosed in the box with attached ribbon tie-closure, in our night stand to play again in the future on days we didn’t really spend much time together.

Buy it! Goodnight Sweetheart is offering these great Valentine’s Day gift ideas on their site: and for a limited time is also offering free shipping (until Feb 8th) with code OASIS!

Win it! To enter to win, tell me in a message below who you’d give this to or play it with.
