Someone recently told me they think dressing little boys is boring. Are they nuts? From humorous “Boob Guy” onesies to sporty jerseys bearing the numner “1/2″, everything we buy for little man is a blast. The best part about dressing little boys is that they look like little men- so cu-ute! Ever see a little boy in a suit? Overalls? Khakis and polos? It’s beyond adorable.

My favorite look for our little guy is the preppy look. I love argyle sweaters, crests, cuffed pants, and of course his polos. Needless to say, Ralph Lauren is our go to company. We recently designed an adorable polo shirt for him, which sells for only $34.99. Perfect when you want your active little guy to look particularly clean-cut (even though little guy and “clean” may sound contradictory)

The Create Your Own collection offers a wide variety of color combinations, different embroideries, and five unique monograms styles allowing you to customize your favorite Ralph Lauren piece. Available in sizes 2-20 for boys and 2-16 for girls, the CYO collection is also available for men and women in a variety of styles. We chose to have little man’s initials embroidered on his shirt in a contrasting color, which sits on the left side of his chest, and Ralph Lauren’s signature pony logo is embroidered near the bottom right hem.
If you visit Ralph Lauren’s CYO Children Shirt Collection, you’ll see the process we followed. First, we chose the color (one that flatters your child or a color they love of course), and then we had the option of the logo horse or his initials. Some colors provide the option of a tonal effect by picking a shirt and embroidery thread of the same color, for a dressier look. We prefer sporty, so chose two different colors. After filling out the appropriate info and choices, we added the shirt to the cart and checked out- super easy. These would make great gift as an attractive gift box with coordinating bow is optional.
I’ve posted photos of little man in polo shirts often, because the quality of Ralph Lauren products have made them a favorite in our home. This cotton polo is no exception, and we love how our little gentleman looks in his polos.
Buy it! Visit Ralph Lauren to create your own children’s shirts, or shirts for adults as well.
Win it! A reader of Penelope’s Oasis has the opportunity to win their own CYO children’s shirt. To enter, tell me in a comment below which design combination you would pick.
I am a participant in a Mom Central Consulting campaign for Ralph Lauren and received a Ralph Lauren CYO shirt to facilitate my review.
