Teriyaki Steak for the Crock Pot

This is a great recipe, and super easy to make (especially with less tender cuts of meat, as the slow cooking process makes them super tender and juicy):

teriyaki steak crockpot recipe

Ingredients:
* 2 1/2 lbs boneless round steak (other cuts of meat can be used also)
* 1/2 cup soy sauce
* 1 tsp ground ginger
* 1 tsp sugar
* 2 tbs oil (peanut or vegetable oil is fine)
* 1 garlic clove, crushed

Directions:
1. Cut steak into slices of about 1/8 inch thick.
2. Combine the soy sauce, ginger, sugar, oil and garlic in a small bowl.
3. Place steak into crockpot and pour sauce over steak.
4. Cook on low for about seven to eight hours.

This tastes great served with white rice and brocolli!

    I have this in the crockpot as I’m writing this and was just wondering do you add the broccoli directly to the crockpot or cook it separately?

  • Penelope

    You can add it to the crock pot in the last 20 minutes of cooking, on top of everything (don’t mix in, or they can overcook and get soggy). I usually cook the broccoli separately because my husband does not like broccoli at all, but if everyone likes it, it makes it so much easier to just toss it into the crock pot with everything toward the end of the cooking cycle.

    Thanks.. I was thinking it’d be better mixed in to get the teriyaki flavor but I didn’t want it to get mushy.

  • Penelope

    At the end, after it’s done cooking, you can toss it all together. It’s awesome!

    This looks delish! About how many servings is this?

    I think, instead of cutting the beef into strips, next time I’d put it in crockpot in Larger pieces, so I could shred it with a fork. Otherwise, it was YUMMY!!
